Spirit Lake Mountain Men Visit BisonRidge Ranch It is 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at BisonRidge Buffalo Ranch in Packwaukee. A stream of cars flow into the gates of BisonRidge, and the Spirit Lake Mountain Men from Baraboo pour out of their vehicles and into the huge Victorian house set at the front of the ranch. Despite the spring storms, all are in high spirits and are excited to get up close and personal with the bison. After a ninety minute tour of the ranch, the rendezvous group entered the comfortable (and dry!) Victorian home and enjoyed a tasty and nutritious meal of slow-roasted bison chuck, chicken and a variety of fixings. After chocolate cake and ice cream, the group toured the handling facilities of the ranch and perused the gift shop. All in attendance agreed it was a great way to spend the day with family and friends!
